  • Perfected by Vidal Sassoon salon experts.

How to Use

Refer to enclosed leaflet - perform a strand and allergy test 48 hours before you color.

Preparation

  • Put on the colorist gloves.
  • Tear off and discard tab from the VS PrecisionMix™ Developer Crème application bottle, then unscrew the applicator bottle cap.
  • Add the VS PrecisionMix™ Permanent Color Crème to VS PrecisionMix™ Developer Crème applicator bottle then carefully replace the applicator bottle cap.
  • Place gloved finger over the applicator tip, point away from face, and shake thoroughly for a minimum of 20 seconds until fully mixed. Immediately apply the color to your hair.

Once mixed, never reseal or store the color in a closed container as it could burst.

Application – All over Color

Ideal for first time colorers or if you haven’t colored for several months.

Step 1: Apply Color

Part your hair into small, even sections using the applicator tip. Apply color first to your roots and stubborn grays then immediately through the length of your hair. If any color gets on your skin, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel.

Step 2: Time it

Leave on for 30 minutes (or time indicated by your strand test). Throw left over mixture away.

Root Application

Ideal for colorers who color every 4-6 weeks

Step 1: Apply Color

Part your hair down the middle and apply the color mixture to your roots. Use the applicator nozzle to separate your hair into sections and continue applying color to your roots only. Save the remainder of the color to use for the rest of your hair.

Step 2: Time it

Leave the color in for 25 minutes (or 5 less than the time indicated by the strand test). Then gently work the remaining color through the rest of your hair. Leave the color on your hair for an additional 5 minutes.

Rinse and Condition

Rinse your hair thoroughly until water runs clean. Apply the conditioner, leave for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Save remaining conditioner and continue to use once a week (after shampooing) in place of your usual conditioner.

Tip: For best results use a quarter-sized amount for each application.

LoveLoveLove!

I usually would have to turn to frying my hair to a white-blonde, and then using splat or manic panic dye to achieve purple hair. The color was always too bright, splotchy, and faded within the first week. This hair color is dark and lovely. My hair was a dark blonde/light brown, (But you can use it on dark brown and black hair too!!!!) and it came out SOO BEAUTIFUL!!! It would describe it as a dark eggplant plum. I am very excited to have a permanent purple hair color. I WILL be buying again!!!!!! Completely worth the price and more!!!!

Excellent product... if you know what you're doing!

First things first: what most DIY'ers need to know is that any hair color that is not naturally blonde or pre-lightened chemically WILL NOT give you the results on the box. Never go into a complete color change with dark hair expecting it to really work WITHOUT pre-lightening. With that being said, I had faded brown hair with grown out blonde "peek-a-boos." With well water at my house, it totally strips my hair from previous color. I did not want to lighten my hair, but did want an even, deep violet tone throughout my hair. Coming across Vidal Sasson's deep violet was my calling! I was in a rush and only left it on approximately half the time and even those results were perfect! My "peek-a-boos" are very beautifully violet (because they were pre-lightened! Ding ding!) and the rest came out a deep violet black. Folks, "deep" violet WILL mean DARK. As someone said, this darker color keeps it professional in the workplace, but is a very fun and outgoing look outdoors or in noticeable light. Regardless, everyone around me has noticed the color change, even with my pre-colored darker brown hair keeping it a shade darker than originally had. Again, please keep in mind: deep violet will come out dark on dark hair. It can come out just like the box ONLY if you are naturally a light blonde or pre-lightened chemically. You can use low volume developer to achieve this without much damage, if it is that important to you (even a 20 volume with bleach enough to lighten to an ugly copper color can make a dramatic difference--get this from a local beauty salon store). Another thing to keep in mind is that some hair holds on to color better than others (and your water may be the reason!). This is the type of color that may take more maintaining as it could possibly wash out towards the ends, creating a faded ombre look. Sometimes I personally like how this looks but others may not find it suits their tastes or simply wouldn't like the "up-keep" of coloring a little more often than before. If you still have complaints and come across this review, please... just save up money to get it done professionally, instead of leaving a review on something you didn't research and educate yourself on initially, before attempting it. Good luck and happy coloring! :)

This product has great features

I love this haircolor. I knew what i was buying when I purchased the color. If you know how to purchase haircolor you would know that 3vr means: the 3 means its very dark. the V means it has violet in it and the R means the base is red. So since i have dark hair to begin with I got a very nice purple hue to my already dark hair. Thank you Viddal Sasson for really cool London Luxe line you put out. I will be purchasing your product because your haircolor and products are Awesome :)
